The beach of San Vito Lo Capo
Up to 50 years ago San Vito Lo Capo was a small village inhabited by fishermen and farmers. Later on thanks to its warm inhabitants and an area rich in natural beauties, it became increasingly famous in Italy and in the world.
Among the many things to see in San Vito Lo Capo there is certainly the beach. It "splits" in two parts the town: on one side the harbor, where you can find fishing boats (fresh fish is sold to local restaurants) and the boats that will take you to the Zingaro Nature Reserve and to the Faraglioni di Scopello or Baia Santa Margherita and the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve; on the other side the Monte Monaco which "watches over" San Vito Lo Capo and its inhabitants.
San Vito Lo Capo's beach is of fine sand that flows into a turquoise and crystalline sea that reaches more beautiful shades of color with the "Scirocco wind" blowing from the South-East.
On the beach you will find the equipped area of the Hotel Riva del Sole with its few umbrellas that we recommend you to book well in advance.
The beach is the ideal destination for those who are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The water of the sea slopes gently towards the horizon, a great advantage for children and for those who cannot swim well; that allows children to play safely on the shore so parents can enjoy their days.
On the baech there are lifeguards for everyone's safety; nearby you will find ice-cream shops, snack-bars that will finally make you have the right escape from stress.
